Congrats to him, though - and also to Ferrari and to Albon on their good performances. And I should also throw out an honourable mention to Liam Lawson, who finished in P11 - just missing out on the points!

Indeed, @Kyng! It's getting boring seeing Max easily finish in 1st place every race. Hopefully one of the other teams will be capable to upgrade their cars to make them more capable of challenging Max for wins.

And yeah, Liam Lawson did really well to get 11th place in only his second race. At this rate, he might get a seat there for next year.

What a great race yesterday's Grand Prix was.

It was great to see a non-Red Bull driver win a race this season for the first time. Carlos Sainz did a great job yesterday to end Verstappen's winning streak. And those final laps of the race were full of action, as there was only 1.9 second gap between the top four drivers of the race, so it was looking like anyone could have potentially have gotten the win. But Sainz held on to the lead in the end, with Norris getting second, and then Hamilton crossing the finish line in third place.

Also, congrats to Liam Lawson on scoring his first F1 points! He did really well to finish in 9th. He's been improving in each race he's been in, and he looks like he definitely deserves to get a seat for next season.

It was the most competitive race of the season so far. And the battle at the end of the race was exciting action to watch.

Indeed: it was quite a shock to see Red Bull being beaten for once! But, all credit to Sainz for pulling it off (and also to Liam Lawson on scoring his first F1 points).

Commiserations to George Russell, though... must feel awful to be on for a podium, then throw it all away on the last lap Sad !

Max Verstappen has secured his 3rd Formula One world title in the Qatar sprint race, by finishing 2nd behind McLaren's Oscar Piastri:

Congrats to Verstappen on a fully-deserved title! He's absolutely dominated this season - to the point where it's shocking that he didn't win the race that secured the Championship Razz . And congrats also to Piastri: let's hope it's not long before his first win in a feature-length race!

Congrats to Verstappen! He's completely dominated the Championship this year.

And congrats to Piastri on both his win in the sprint race, and his second place in the actual race. McLaren did a fantastic job to get both drivers on the podium for the second race in a row. It looks almost certain that they'll overtake Aston Martin to finish P4 in the Constructor's Championship.

Well, the 2023 season is over - and, Max Verstappen won all but three of the races on the calendar. It was a season to forget for pretty much everyone other than Red Bull Razz .

Will anyone have a chance of catching him in 2024?

Yes, this season was pretty predictable in terms of guessing who'd win each race. Razz
At least the battle for 2nd in the Constructor's Championship was quite good.

McLaren's comeback this season was incredible. It's amazing how they went from struggling to even score points at the start of the season, then suddenly competing for podiums and regular points finishes. It's amazing how much the team improved after they made a small upgrade to their cars mid-season.

Indeed - McLaren did do an incredible job throughout the season, so congrats to them on that! And I'll be excited to see what they can do next year Smile .
