How to embed links to YouTube in posts

This is a guide for Embedding YouTube videos into your forum post on here. This question has been asked before, so I thought that I'd make a guide about how to use this feature.

Embedding a YouTube video means the video will show in a post, rather than just display as a link to the video.

To do this to your post, you'll need to be on the desktop mode of the forum. (If you're on mobile, simply click on the lines at the top right hand corner of the screen, then once you do that, select the 'desktop mode' option). You're automatically on desktop mode if you're browsing the forum via a computer or a laptop.

Above the text box for your post, There should be two rows of rectangles with different icons in them. On the 5th row, you'll see the YouTube logo is displayed in a box. Click on that YouTube icon, then it'll ask you to post the url in the box that displays when the icon is clicked. Then once you paste the URL, simply click the button underneath it that says 'insert.' And then your post should have the YouTube video embedded.

However, please do be aware that some YouTube videos won't work with embedding , as some YouTube creators disable the option for embedding. So if the option to embed a video isn't working for you, then it might be because that particular video is unavailable for embedding.
