The new Premier League season is starting tonight. The first fixture to take place is:

Manchester City are the three-time defending champions of the league, but some other teams will making it their main goal to beat Man City to this year's title. One of those teams is Arsenal, who came close last season, and have since added some key signings to their squad over the summer. So it's looking like it could be a close battle for the title this season, and it'll be interesting to see how the title race goes.

Now, following their Championship win last season, Burnley are back in the Premier League. However, they haven't got an easy start to the season, because the first fixture of the new season will be:

Burnley vs Manchester City.

Well, there was a surprise result this weekend:

Wolves 2-1 Manchester City.

Congrats to Wolves for being the team to end Manchester City's winning run! So, Wolves are the team who've ended Manchester City's 100% winning start to the season.

Luton made history by achieving their first ever Premier League win:

Everton 1-2 Luton.

Congrats to Luton! This result has now moved them out of the relegation zone and into 17th position in the league.

Although, there was controversy in Tottenham's 2-1 victory over Liverpool. Diaz scored a goal for Liverpool, but it was incorrectly ruled out for offside by the match officials. However, VAR failed to overturn the decision, even though it was shown that Diaz was clearly onside.

It's shocking that VAR can make a mistake as big as that, especially when Diaz was shown as clearly onside.

Arsenal beat Manchester City 1-0 yesterday after Martinelli scored a winner in the 86th minute:

The new signings Arsenal made in the summer seem to be paying off, since they've started the season off in great form. Although, it's still too early in the season to say that Arsenal will win the title, but this is certainly a great start to the season for them.
