Games that haven't had a sequel, or new game in a while
Sometimes there are great games that we really enjoy that never get a sequel, or have their franchise never get a new game. Most popular games tend to get a sequel, but on rare occassions some don't for whatever reasons. Perhaps, the developers wanted to try other projects, or maybe their just wasn't enough new material to be able to be added to the game.
For a game that never got a sequel, an example of that is WarioWare D.I.Y. Now the WarioWare series has had a few games released since WarioWare D.I.Y. released in 2010. But none of them featured the ability to create your own microgames and music soundtracks like D.I.Y. did. WarioWare D.I.Y. It's a shame, since the ability to create your own games and music was a lot of fun and helped make this game a unique entry in the series.
For a franchise that hasn't had a new game for a while, I'll say F-Zero. This is a futuristic racing game series, where you race in machines that go upto speeds of 1242 mph (2000 km) per hour at times. The gameplay itself is very hard, but it's a fun game and a good challenge. However it hasn't seen a new game released since 2003, when it got both a GameCube and GameBoy Advance game released for it in the same year. The series has made a cameo in the Mario Kart game, where their are two tracks based off tracks in the F-Zero games, and had cameos in a fe wother Nintendo games. But it doesn't look like there will be a new F-Zero game anytime soon, unfortunately. It would be cool to at least get a remake of F-Zero GX.

I think it's a real shame that LEGO Alpha Team never got a sequel.
For those of you who have never heard of it: it was a puzzle game where you took control of a team of secret agents (each of whom specialised in a different area, e.g. lasers or electricity), and combined their equipment in order to get through a series of puzzle chambers. I thought it was great fun, but they only ever made one game!

Suikoden. I love this series and V opened up a lot of avenues for new titles but after the DS game the series went dormant. I'm hoping with I and II being released on Steam soon that'll revive some interest in the franchise.

The Elder Scrolls hasn't had a new game in a while: I know there's a new one in the works, but it's been 12 years since Skyrim was released.
Still, since they could keep making money off that game, I guess they saw no point in making a new one!

Phantasy Star. Sure the MMO is ongoing but few realize it started as a single player JRPG and hasn't had a new title in that avenue since the Sega Genesis.

It's been a while since the last Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, maybe because people are so divided on that series (fans either adore it or hate it, and critics REALLY hate it for some bizarre reason). The most recent game was the remake in 2020, and before that it was Super Mystery Dungeon in 2015, meaning almost a decade without a completely new PMD game. The bad reception the remake got probably means no more PMD games, which makes me sad because I love PMD and think it's by far the best Pokémon spin-off. I don't know why critics crap on it so much.

War of the Worlds. A bit of an obscure one but it was a PS2 fighting game with knock offs of iconic movie monster characters like Godzilla, Kong, etc. It's actually a really fun fighting game where you can do things like throw monsters into buildings or use cars as weapons. I'd love to see what a modern version could do but I don't see it happening.

Bully, hands down. If there's a Bully 2, I'd be more than happy to play it.
